I tried these lights and was disappointed with the results. I experimented with two similar tomato seedlings (same soil, same sized pot); placed one under these lights in my basement and other directly under the sun. After a month or so, the artificial thing was shorter and a LOT weaker. I mean the leaves were pale and seemed like they lacked chlorophyll. They worked to grow seeds into seedlings but not beyond.
