The light switch is the cheapest I've ever seen. The 5 that I have now works well, especially with Amazon echo
I have a few of these and they are actually reliable if and only if you have a very strong signal in the spot where you need them. These have a weak antenna, so for perfect reliability they will only work in places where you get 3 out of 4 bars or better.

You must have missed the Belkin sale that ended yesterday, The switches were like $22 each if you stacked coupons. Plus there was 6% cashback available.

Can't vouch for the others but I have a bunch of the light switches in my home and they have been great for me using IFTTT to control them.

Have 2 switches that have been rock solid since I installed them. Bought 6 more during the Belkin sale on their site. We shall see how many switches my system can handle safely.

I would not recommend these. I picked up a couple of WeMo switches and could never get them to work. They just would not connect to my Wifi so I gifted them to a friend who already had a working setup. I recently got a TP Link switch and it is working much better.

I have 9 light switches, 1 motion, 1 outlet, and a dozen bulbs all working. There were some issues early on but with app/firmware updates over the last few years my setup has been stable.

If I have a wall plate that has 2 switches in it but I only want 1 of them to be the Wifi one, can i install this and then find some other standard single-switch wall plate to replace the other side? Or if I want both to be wifi can I install 2 of these side by side and that would take up the space of the original wall plate?

I have one Wemo and one TP-Link switch. After a few months, both are working well. Maybe the bad reviews are from older firmware? TP-Link had to be rebooted once. Otherwise, they work good especially with Alexa. No hub required for either which is what I like.

I've had the regular switch for about two years. When it stays connected to my network, it's fine, works without trouble. The problem is, it will lose connection at some point, for a period of time, and just forget how to connect to the network. The only solution I've been able to find is to hard-reset the switch, remove the app from my phone, re-download it, and reset everything. It takes about 5-10 minutes. It wouldn't be terrible if it was a once-a-year type of thing, but I think the longest I've been able to go and keep it working is about 3 weeks...

Yes to both questions. But you'd have to get new plates which you can get for a couple dollars or less at Home Depot. They have a bunch of different wall plates depending on your setup.
