This might be my favorite phone ever but I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole now.

Agreed, especially at that price!
The 5X is just $50 more

If they kept the design and wireless charging but added a gig of ram and updated the processor I'd gladly pay $400 for it. I loved that RED one.

for serious? this phone is getting dated at this point. what is it? 3-4 yrs old? could have a new 5x for the same price.

5x is $199 thru Project Fi, 32GB for $249. I'd rather get that instead of this EOL'd 5.

If you can find a good conditioned used one for $100 or less, which is doable, then it's worth considering for someone who doesn't need the "top of the line" and/or wants to wait for the next release but needs a phone in the meantime.

I picked up a used red one for $85 in January after 10% ebay bucks and discount ebay gift card. Other than wishing I had 32gb,

Used 32gb 5x's will be likely drop under $200 soon, at which point I might switch, but there is still plenty of life left in my N5, and the fact that some fleabay auctions still end over $100 show that there is still plenty of love left for the N5

I bought this phone when it came out. The only issue was the GPS. signal drops every few minutes . Later I bought the moto X pure edition($250 now?). 0 issue. The only thing I miss is the wireless charging.

Isn't Nexus 5x close to the same price on the Fi deal?
Nexus 5 is two years older and doesn't get new versions of Android anymore.
I would think this phone should cost $125 max.

LG Nexus 5 has worked very well for me. And I think Nexus 5X is more or less same as this phone. But it is supposed to have a much better camera, a fingerprint sensor.

I have this working well with Ringplus. One day I received Freedompop GSM SIM and I wanted to see how it worked on the Nexus 5. But when inserted the SIM tray, I have never been able to get the SIM tray fit all the way in. It always is jutting out a bit - with the Sprint SIM or with the Freedompop GSM SIM. Now I am not able to tell the difference between the power button and SIM tray. I would love if someone has any ideas about it.

I just upgraded my Nexus 5 to the 6p. It served me well for 26 months, was probably my favorite phone I've ever owned. Just kept filling up the storage. But there's no way it's worth $200 for as old as it is. Now way it's new either.
