I have had one now for about 8 days. Here is my limited review.

Battery Life - The battery life is actually incredible. I have loads of notifications turned on, HR monitoring during sleep and have gone on runs using run mode (which runs the HR continuously). I am at 75% at 8 days. This will likely vary as time goes on, but for now it is clear (baring a non-linear battery curve) that I will easily pass the 20 days listed battery life

Features - So far, this tracker does everything that I want it to. I mainly got it to monitor my heartrate while resting and jogging and it does that perfectly. It also has a pretty accurate step counter, I have heard bad things about the Mi Band 1 step counter and this one supposedly has an update algorithm and detection. The vibrate notify function is solid, you see an icon indicating the app used but you not see full details as the OLED display is just to small (that's my guess). I would like to see a name or number as well but that might be in time. The most recent app (2.2.0) and firmware ( update enabled the addition of date to the time. The newest app version gives you the option to display time, steps, distance, calories, heart rate and remaing battery. Any of these except time/date can be turned off. The single button interface is very basic but VERY responsive. The instant you touch the button it cycles to the next option (or lights up).

App - The Google Play app tends to lag the latest official version and often skips releases. You can get the most up-to-date version from a variety of sources. These updates tend to fix bugs and add features. For example, the current version (2.2.0) adds the ability to add a date to the time on the watch, it also changes a few things in relation to DoNotDisturb mode. It adds the ability for it to turn on DnD automatically when it detects you are sleeping. Also if you use the "Lift Wrist to view info" it allows you to turn this off during Do Not Disturb mode so your display won't turn on when you don't want to be disturbed.

Durability/Build - The build quality seems excellent, the face of the device appears to be some sort of hard glass or polymer. After over a week of using it and not being careful I still don't have a scratch on it. It fits very tightly in the rubber wrist strap, there is no chance that it will fall out. If anything, it can be a tad difficult to get out when charging. The display is a nice white (not the deep turquoise shown in pictures). I don't know why but even when I try to pictures of the display cameras show it as turquoise blue. As for the brightness, it is bright enough to be read in almost all conditions while not being so bright as to waste the battery needlessly.

Conclusion - All in all, I would call this a slam dunk for the price. It would be a slam dunk even at a higher price. Don't expect the moon and the stars but if you come into things knowing what it can and can't do, you will be VERY VERY happy.
I bought mine at $35 and I think they are totally worth the money at $35 or less. The heartrate monitor is usually fairly accurate (when compared to my Samsung Note), but it does occasionally have outlier readings like 60bpm while working out. I have a feeling it is because I'm sweating too much.

The Mi Band Tools app ($3) really helps make the Mi Band 2 closer on par with the Fitbit. It lets you do continuous or intermittent (every X seconds) heart rate monitoring. It lets you setup notifications for any app you want with familiar icons for popular ones like Facebook/Twitter/emails/Snapchat/WhatsApp. Even lets you set a delay on the alerts so I give myself 60 seconds to check my phone first before the Mi Band starts vibrating.

The Mi Fit app isn't as good as FitBits. It only helps you track sleep, weight, steps, and heart rate. It doesn't do activities, calorie burn, calorie intake like other tracks. Good think the Mi Band Tools app syncs with Google Fit and then you can use Google Fit or any other app that cross-syncs with it for your other needs.

I don't notice any battery drain with Mi Fit + Mi Band Tools + Google Fit all installed and running. But some people might prefer a $100 FitBIt Charge HR with its single app that handles most of everything.
it's pronounced mubund. similar to how you say stuftwuffle

That'll probably never happen.. Xiaomi closely guards their protocols, leaving the Mi Band a closed system aside from a few amateur apps like Mi Band Tools.

The heart rate monitor is quick and seems to be accurate. The sleep analysis is great and extremely useful to me.

Also, keep in mind that Mi Band 2 no longer supports smart alarms, for those who wanted it for that feature.

Are these more accurate than the previous model? Mine counts picking plates out of the cabinet (and similar actions) as steps.

Any way to hide the weight info in Mi Fit when using the Friends feature?

Just trying to buy one of these things pisses me off. I want basic functions, integration with apple health and a watch battery. There's maybe 3 like that I can find and I'm still not sure from reading the awful specs. I suppose I could buy them all and return whatever doesn't meet expectations.
