Wonder how far the fat-console PS4 will drop? I'm in if it drops below $250.

It should drop to $200 for the console alone. $250 will be the bundle price.

PS4 At $399 is a deal at regular price. Just want to know the specs.

For me, the PS4 Pro announcement felt a bit underwhelming for the PS4 Big Mac stack. Specs are needed but I feel a wave of disappointment. If it's true it doesn't support 4K Blurays, oh man..this system will be dead to alot of people.

you still think it was crazy for me to suggest waiting until today before buying XboneS?

I'm more excited than I expected because of the price. I expected $499.

Yeah, I was expecting around the same myself. I guess once we can get some definite specs to compare with, we can make the call on the $399 ultimately.

Nevertheless, I like the fact that HDR is coming to the older consoles as well. I have less of a desire to do a mid-cycle upgrade and would rather instead pump that money into the PC.

I agree and wish I hadnt bought a PS4 last Nov because unless I find a great deal on PS4 Pro, I cant see myself wanting to lose $200 to upgrade, even $100 is pushing it. But for buyers who dont have a PS4, PS4 Pro all the way IMO.

Certainly unless they are desperate to save that 100 and don't care at all about 4K/VR. Truth be told, if I was in the market for a PS4 & a slickdealer, look for prices on the phat models to be pushed out. If somehow, someway you can snag a current PS4 around $200, I'd have to say I'd go that route.

Yeah. Sony is a major strategist who is, brutally, hammering away at the competition. Not only do 'other/s' require a new console for any type of HD update, but another shall be required for VR.

Edit: That link "Release Date: 11/10/2016"

Saving $100 is not enough to not get Pro. Other PS4s will have to drop in price and/or include many extras.

Considering how the previous gen went, Sony did a good job getting themselves back in the lead while MS shot themselves in the foot before the start and Nintendo is experimenting with user experience. The Xbox is the only current gen I have foregone getting and I highly doubt I'll get one of the "S" models. I'll keep my eye on Scorpio though. PC keeps me the most satisfied yet likes nuking my wallet from time to time.

If I could get a current model PS4 for $200, I'd pass on the Pro. If it's between Slim and Pro at the MSRP, I'd go Pro. Slickdeal before anything (looking at you Target around the holidays).
