Points to you for being vague and not helpful. Back into your hermit hobble you!
A lot of people hate the game, probably because they didn't play long enough to discover everything you can do in it. I gave it a chance and really enjoyed it. I'll admit it has some glitches and it doesn't explain some very important things, like upgrading cars or how the spoil bonus works. I'll give you some tips.

Story missions - Only a minor (and mostly forgettable) portion of the game. Do them to increase your player level and earn medals.

Driver hub/driver ID - For an Xbox controller, open the map and click the left stick. Use LB/RB to move through the tabs.

Player level - You need to get to player level 10 to unlock the east coast region, level 20 unlock the south region, level 30 for the mountain states, level 40 for the west coast, and level 50 to unlock platinum medals and smart loot. Level 10 unlocks factions. You will also get some free crew credits (CC). You can use them to buy cars and parts but I recommend only using them to buy the few cars that can only be bought with CC.

Factions - Join a faction that is winning at least one region so you can get the faction bonus mission at the end of the month. Joining a faction gives you a rank (rookie, thug, gangsta, lieutenant, street boss, under boss, and boss) with a daily salary. Play faction missions and PvP events to win reputation points to increase your rank. The award spoil bonus increases your daily salary by a percentage.

Faction missions - Various types of races that range from 3 minutes to as long as 4 hours. Many of these races are for hardcore players only. At the end of every month, the winning faction in each region will get a bonus mission in that region which will be available for only two days. The bonus mission gives the opportunity to earn massive amounts of money to buy cars and parts.

Awards - Earn to increase your award spoil bonus (faction daily salary % bonus). There are hundreds of awards from doing trivial, skilled, or long term actions, like finding the giant cow, performing three "cool" jumps in 90 seconds, or driving a combined 5000 miles in a single car.

Tuners, dealerships, and HQ - You can buy cars from any dealership by going to any collection board in any tuner shop or your HQ. You have to visit every dealer in every region first to get all the cars to show up on the collection board. You can buy and install new parts at the tuner, but you can only change parts you already own at your HQ.

Upgrading cars - You can't buy parts to increase the level of a car if that car is the highest level in a spec category. After you win parts and increase the level for one car in a spec category, then you can buy the same parts for your other cars in the same spec to bring all them up to the same level. At player levels 10, 20, 30, and 40 you can install a level 10, 20, 30, or 40 starter package on a newly purchased car in a spec category, then buy the same level 10, 20, 30, or 40 parts for your older cars in the same spec to bring them up to the same level as your new car. I recommend buying as few cars and parts as possible until getting to player level 40 to save money.

Perks - You get a perk point for every player level increase. Use them first to buy perks for your car's braking, handling, nitrous reserve, nitrous acceleration, top speed, and racing line. Buying a chance to receive extra points is a trap.

Crewsing - Invite or join other players in a crew, free roam the map together, play solo or co-op missions.

Stunts - Drifting, jumping, collateral damage, overtaking, and oncoming earns you some pocket change. When you are in a crew and close to one of the other crew members, you get credit for multiplayer stunts.

Skill challenges - Play solo speed, escape, hill climb, jump, race line, precision, and scramble skills for bronze, silver, gold, and platinum medals each with an associated cosmetic or performance part for your car.

PvP events - Player vs. player/crew vs. crew A to B races, elimination races, circuit races, capture the crown, and blitz brawl.

Wow! I'm shocked they would give us all of the dlc. I already have the base game I got in a bundle so the dlc would be a welcome addition. I guess we will see in a few days.

I think this should be the link when the game is available. https://club.ubisoft.com/en-US/ubi30

You may want to put Ubisoft/Uplay in your thread title. These monthly freebies do require Uplay.

So these free games from UBISoft aren't like the Origin "On the House" ones where they are yours free forever?

Nope, it's exactly like Origin's free games. You have a "limited time" to make your free purchase of the game, but once you do it's yours to keep on your account. EA didn't start offering free or "On the House" games until March 27, 2014. Ubisoft to start up the Uplay service offered several games for $1 each in August 2012 (From Dust, HAWKX2, Silent Hunter, and Driver San Francisco). EA started EA Origin the following year in February 2013. The freebies Ubisoft is currently offering are to commemorate the companies 30th anniversary and will be offered as one free game each month for the rest of the year.
