Why? The mini version is a more power efficient version that only uses 75watts and doesn't need an additional power connector. Techpowerup did a review of this version and revealed that it's basically the same as a regular 90watt GTX950 with a power connector - coming within 1-2% in framerates. This mini version also has overclocking headroom too - with an fps gain of almost 20%.

This thing. Or get a used GTX670/760/7950/etc going for under $100 if your PSU can handle it - those cards perform equal to or slightly better than a GTX960.

I don't know why this isn't getting more love... That GTX 950 is priced comparably to this recent deal and includes the same free games: http://slickdeals.net/f/9076099-evga-950-gtx-2-gb-free-game-90-ar?src=SiteSearch

Too bad, the 950 is a mini version. Will wait.

Thumbs up on the GTX 950. It's one of the 75watt ones (most are 90watt) that doesn't need a separate power supply connection, it gets all its power from the PCIe slot.

GTX 950 cards get front paged at $100, I expect this one will too. Plus you might get $10+ selling the game code.

Also the GTX 950 is the cheapest card with an HDMI 2.0 port, meaning you can use a (supported) 4k TV as a monitor and run it at 4k resolution @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4 uncompressed color over HDMI 2.0. It's like having four 1080p monitors fused together two by two. OMG

GTX 950 is the best card at the momemt at $100. Other guy has a valid point that you could get a used card like a 7950 that uses more electricity that would be faster.

Not many new cards have 2 DVI ports anymore but HDMI to DVI adapters are very cheap.

You could use an adapter on the computer end like these with a DVI to DVI cable... $1.17 from Asia [ebay.com] or $2.39 from USA [ebay.com].

or use an adapter on the monitor end like these with a HDMI to HDMI cable....$1.00 from Asia [ebay.com] or $2.48 from USA. [ebay.com]

...depending on if you have room for an adapter behind the computer or behind the monitor. Or get an HDMI to DVI cable. 6 footer $3.59 from USA [ebay.com]. 10 footer $3.95 from USA. [ebay.com]

This should be FP.

Great price on the GTX 950 (with free game!!), and no 6 pin connector needed.

If this was a deal on say, the 750Ti, all the HTPC enthusiasts would be flocking. A lot of folks don't know about these recent crop of 75W 950s and still think the 750Ti is the most powerful non-6 pin card you can get.

Correct me if I am wrong, many HTPC folks love 750Ti so much largely because it is the most powerful low-profile card we can get.

Curious if there will be a low profile 950 (or 1050?) any time in the near future?

There is already a mini 1070 so a low profile 1050 seems plausible.

Low profile [kfa2.com] GTX 950s exist [reddit.com], albeit not available in the American market (so you're partially right). ~$192 USD from Amazon JP [amazon.co.jp]

My comment was more geared towards the fact that the 750ti still gets a good amount of attention here on SD (mainly for not requiring a 6 pin), even on normal height models since low profile 750Tis rarely, if ever, go on sale.
