I am not sure what you are asking here. I don't think this is a DTS Speaker. This is normal Stereo speaker enhanced with DTS Audio software. Similar like Dell WaveMaxxAudio.

Speaking generally, I'll take Dell over HP any day. I've had a number of Dell laptops (Inspirons, netbooks, and five generations of XPS including the most recent one), and while I've occasionally had an issue, they've been good to resolve it (even out of warranty once), and they just seem much better built. I've tried two HP laptops in the last few years, and I've used one for work recently, and they just feel sooo cheap, and the screens (especially the TN panels) are horrible.

The specs for this are a great deal at the price, but I'd bet you'll be disappointed with the laptop overall.

I'd go for this based on the fact that it's a Probook which is HP's business line.

For windows laptops, you should *always* consider the laptop in isolation. In this case, you're talking about a probook which is a business class machine so you usually have better durability and parts (that's why it's a bit chunkier too).

Here's a review on notebookcheck which is mostly positive. That one only has 4gb of ram and a 500 HDD vs the SSD on this one. The difference between i5 and i7 U-series processor is negligible, although for gaming you may see a 5-10% boost w/ the i7:

Edit: I was wrong, the screen still looks like it's a terrible TN panel... that may be a deal breaker.

Anyone have one of these? Are they solid or what?

Also, is Jet a good seller?

this is from the HP website...
