it is also backwards compatible with QC 2.0

FYI - QC 3.0 is not significantly faster than QC 2.0, but it is probably a little easier on your battery

It is about 25% faster to full charge due to 200mV decrements from 12V down to 5V.
Another great thing is that the phone stays cool.

No, not a lot of phones support 3.0 but it is backwards compatible with 2.0. This is a good price either way.

I will wait until price drops to $5 where QC 2.0 is selling for on Amazon.

I wouldn't assume this would have any real benefits for the Galaxy S4, correct?

Needed a spare charger for my Note 7 and a new grill starter. Multitasker FTW!

Can you explain how this works to me? I mean I understand basic electricity.. so
12v 1amp vs 5volt 3amp etc.. isnt it all about the watts?

who cares if it jumps between 1.2amp@12volt down to 1.5amp at 9volt?

I have an inline usb ammeter.. and its not like the phone pulls max amps at every voltage stage anyway.

For example a 2014 moto x (second gen) pulls 1.68amp@12volt when speed charging it will then drop to around 1-1.5amp@9volt etc.

So what makes it more efficient by using increments of voltage?

My nexus 5x will only do 5volt but goes between 1-3amps.

How is 1.55amps@9volt more efficient than 3amps@5volt?.
I understand its easier on the cable you can use some flimsy gauge wire if you pump the volts up to 12..etc.
