Modem+Router compatible with Comcast

Gshumu 1,174 61 September 8, 2016 at 12:46 PM
I'm getting Comcast 75mbs for internet and have no desire to rent a modem from them.

I have a 2100 sqf colonial built in the 60's. Mainly used for streaming netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime, usually on no more than 2 devises at a time.

What are my best option for Modem and router. Should i get a modem+router combo or get them separately?

what models would you recommend?

looking to spend around $100-150

I run a Motorola SB6141 (69.99 retail) but the issue seems to be the router. If you have Tmobile they will send you the "Tmobile" cellspot ROUTER for a down of $25. (they will still own it but it's like a security deposit and you keep it as long as you need) its an Asus rebranded AC1900 router and its really good. Just my 2 cents. Anybody is welcome to chip in.

The cheapest plans usually don't include wifi. With a combo unit they will shut off the wifi part. (FYI)
This is what TW does.
I would go with separate
