does this have smartphone viewing option? also any suggestions/links for spare batteries?

p.s. i see they have a 5pk of batt with a $3 promo code if bought with the quad but the codes are not combining at checkout Frown

No, you would want the X5SW version. This one uses WIFI to connect to your phone. I have used the wifi version before, but I was not happy at all with the video quality, as it is only 0.3MP and it saves the video to your phone. Also, the range is only about 30 feet, otherwise, the video becomes choppy.

This model X5SC saves to a microsd card on the drone, and the camera is 2.0MP. The quality of the video is much much better than the wireless version, but its still not stellar. But what do you expect at this price?

This is a fun little drone. Has some trouble in the wind, but I suspect a lot of these lighter ones do. Battery lasts a good 6-7 minutes on mine (I have the white version) which is pretty good. As Webmosby mentions, there are tons of different batteries available. Swapping them is super easy.

just got mine in the mail, after the first charge and use (discharge) my battery swelled up like a balloon. eek
