Too bad they don't have it listed on-sale on their site anymore, used to be $35 and most stores would have matched the site.

I called my local store, and they had 1 in stock, but also made comment that they wouldnt honor the websites discounted pricing Frown

Others have posted that they proceeded to purchase, but then called Target to complain and received a gift card for the difference.

Are these worth $30? One Target near me has several and I'm considering changing from gas. I know these won't last too long, especially with the 2ah battery, but my gas trimmer is struggling lately and I'd like an electric

yes they usually run about $85-$100 elsewhere. If you are concerned about battery just get two and sell the bare tool to make up some of the cost.

Worked great for me several weeks back. Ask if you can put it on a different card, then tell them you need to do some more shopping in the store after the return. Buy it along with a couple other things at the checkout.

Despite the shortish battery life (maybe 20-30 minutes tops), I'm pleased. Coming from a corded B&D unit, the automatic line feed is great compared to whacking it on the concrete. It tilts at the base, which makes edging much easier as well. The wheel thing on the black guard piece is supposed to help with edging, but I found it to be totally useless; it doesn't seem sturdy enough to roll properly on its own, but the unit itself is light enough that I don't care too much. I may try to put some lubricant on it or just remove it entirely.

The battery charges quick. I can't really get the feel of how to use the damn thing. Maybe user error but sometimes I scalp the grass. After a few times I thought I would get the hang of it but haven't. My gas one I just tilted it and was good to go. All in all ya can't beat the price. The battery alone is probably$30-50.
