great catch, I've been watching this on Amazon for a while, it can also be used as an access point with firmware update

What is the difference between the AC 750 performance and the AC 1200 performance?

The firmware on these are terrible when using as an access point. I could not get it setup correctly as an access point after updating the firmware.

I installed DD-WRT and it's been chugging along for a year without a problem.

The basic difference is the max speed i.e. 750 Mbps vs 1200 Mbps. Also the AC1200 specs mentions that it has a higher range (700mW). For most home uses the 750 should work fine.

Funny...I just bought one last week for $79 @ BB (price matched with Amazon). May need to stop back @ get $9.95 back for price drop. Haven't set it up yet to test it.

I was going to use as an access point, but someone mentioned software is not so good in AP mode?? I'm hooking it up tomorrow so we'll see.
