For some reason I read this deal as $499. Either there was a typo or I was mistaken as the price is $799.

Is this a good deal? Don't know much about TVs, but it seems like a good one to me.

So how good is Adorama? I heard they wont accept returns for Tvs over 47 inch. So if they just make it cheap cause e.g. panel has a lot of ghosting or bad uniformity, your stuck with the tv?

Anybody have experience with Adorama? Why is the ebay price so much cheaper than their price on their main website?

I bought the 65UH7700 on a Fry's deal recently for $999, and returned it. It's an amazing TV during the daytime and for sports anytime, but for tv shows and movie watching especially in the evening/dark room it's terrible. Local dimming creates vertical light bands that completely ruin dark scenes in movies when blacks in parts of the screen suddenly light up grey. Since my highest value ia watching movies at night, that was a deal breaker for me no matter how good a deal it was. Obviously I'm picky enough that I need at least an 8 series TV or better. Currently have a plasma that runs circles around this TV in picture quality in dark room movie watching. During daytime or in a bright room, you wouldn't see the light bands, although dark contrast /blacks would still be crap with the LG Led TVs.

Yes. Look for a picture in the ad with the metal-looking stand in the middle of the TV, and the "original price" will be at least $1799. I think the deal was something like original price, $1799, sale price $1499, promo code price $999. The 65" UH7700 has been that price at least 3 times in the past 3-4 months. I got it early August and returned it after 4 weeks. As long as the TV shows you watch don't have a lot of dark scenes and your room is dark/night-time (e.g. Grimm if you watch that show) then you'll be fine, and sports are great IMO.

Seems like a good tv for the price, except for dark scenes in dark room. Maybe I should get this instead of 55" Samsung 8000 series for $1129 EPP. http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/uh7700

Adorama is a reputable dealer, almost as good as B&H. They've been having a lot of tv deals through eBay lately w/ LG OLED, Sony, & others in the past few weeks.
