Best Buy needs to go bankrupt faster. The world will be better without them. Or they can rebrand as "Poser electronics" at least then they would be upfront about being useless when it comes to tech n knowledgeable staff :-D

disagree. their gamers unlocked program has attracted many customers. not sure why you hate them, but to each their own.

I agree with mastershady. They have their place in the world... They are not my usual go to but their sales can be pretty darn good. Its not their fault that the people they hire are not exactly knowledgeable about tech.

It attracted me back as a customer after years of not liking them in hopes it was better. But it's been nothing but aggravation. I have only successfully gotten an advertised deal once and I ordered it online and had it shipped to store. I've had online orders canceled 8 times in a row and customer service couldn't tell me why but said someone would look into it and get back to me and never did. No one in the store knows anything about tech .... They are only helpful to the average soccer mom type or 80yo that literally knows nothing. A few years ago I asked if they had CPUs and the rep said yes, and then took me to PC cases. Recently I was looking for a Gtx 1080 and the PC guy had no idea about them. You would think a tech company would be aware of the newest breakthrough graphics card! Even knowing what I'm looking for transactions are never smooth or happen at all. My local store has almost no video games, very small selection, and only about 4 preowned games (literally) but they have a whole isle of blenders n mixers and stupid "as seen on tv" shit...... Cause a that makes sense for a tech store. I will admit that I live near a very crappy Best Buy right now and have been to better, but the CPU thing was a diff Best Buy In a diff part of the country from my current local store. I go there for cell phones that's it.

I have to agree. I had an order for Diablo 3 for PC on sale cancelled on me a little while back, but they shipped the expansion. Some crap about cancelling orders that were out of stock for more than some time limit, like 4 weeks, so they wouldn't just sit and wait for fulfillment. I called and they told me they'd still give me the discount when it's back in stock, but I'd have to reorder it. Now it looks like they don't even carry the base game anymore. It's been out of stock on their web site for months. So I have an expansion for a game they don't even carry anymore... BB needs to figure their sh*t out. Until then, it's unlikely I'll shop there anymore.

#1. No longer called "cell phones". Time to pull out of the 90s and get with the current times. They're called smart phones now.

#2. Your asinine low brained example of "cell phones are 3 for a nickel" is due to the competition in the telecomm industry and the big giants subsidizng the cost and not a result of Best Buy competing with Amazon & offering lower prices.

BestBuy is new BestBuy if you know how to combine coupon with deal of day. BestBuy giftcard is like cash for many good SDer(better than ebay gc now). BBY STOCK is at new 52weeks high. I'm elite and already spent 8k this year.

quit whining...

there's no reason to like one store vs another

the reason we are on slickdeals is to take advantage of deals from ANY store

slickdeal'ers are not and should not be loyal to any particular store. all we care about is squeezing out the last drop of blood of shops.. one store dies, we move on to another!
