Are these OS specific? Why couldn't you use iPhone for Android - if they're both 3.5 mm.

Would love this but I have a PC, Samsung tablet and iPhone. LOL

The in-line remote may not work on Android

I think different versions are for in line mic functionality. Headphones would work on any device

If you're talking about the blue one, the most likely scenario is that your volume controls don't work. Mic and center button will work so not necessarily a bad thing, but a minor inconvenience. But you can always buy a replacement cord with your specific phone to make it work. So your iPhone will get all controls, but your Samsung tablet will just get a center button. The reverse is most likely true on an android cable

The in-line mic control is different for iPhone vs. Android.

As long as you use the 3.5mm adapter.

Maybe with the Lightning/headphone jack adapter. No idea if the adapter cable affects in-line volume controls though. Will have to wait until the phone is released.
