Saw that as well. I was watching the game out running errands yesterday.

Anybody know what constitutes a local game? Is it pretty much just what you can watch on the local network affiliate stations? I live out of the zone of my home team, so I don't expect to be able to see any of those games unless they're on TV anyway...

does this have to be done with a certain app, like nfl mobile? What if I watch a game using the dish anywhere app?

Whatever game your local station broadcasts. In a lot of regions it's can be confusing. I want to say there's a map for where each team is broadcast but too lazy to google.

In the terms it says "Available to Verizon Wireless postpay customers over LTE." Can anyone confirm this does not count against data plan for customers on grandfathered more everything plan? Thanks!

yes, through the nfl mobile app. live games are what would be shown on your local broadcast networks (the app asks for your location.).

Your local broadcast games can be found on 506 sports, here's week 1's schedule

But is it local to where you live, or local to where you are currently located?

If I'm out of town, can I watch my home team on the app? Or will I be watching the local team of wherever I am out of town, if I'm in the USA?

Does anyone know if they cleaned up the app? It was so bad for me last year that it compelled me to write the only review I've ever written on Google Play (considering that was one of the things I was looking forward to when joining Verizon last year).

It would be local to where you are at the time. So if you happen to be out of town, you will get the games for the region that you are in rather than your home games.
