Noob comment. If I dont want to use 3G from Verizon here, I can still use this watch w/o the need to activate it with Verizon and buying a data plan, correct?

I want to use this watch as standalone device paired and getting notifications from my Samsung phone, but want to get the 3G option for GPS (for better activity tracking).

Yep, it functions just like the non-3g version via Bluetooth and wifi. Getting a 3g version is definitely the way to go if you want GPS and a bigger battery. It also adds a speaker, which lets you takes calls on your watch if you like.

Yes, this is the Verizon version. So if you do want to use the 3g option, you'll have to activate it on Verizon (or perhaps one of their MVNOs).

What's the best out cheapest option for getting cellular service on this? (I only have access to an older Nationwide plan, so I don't think Verizon is a good option for me). Are there mvno pay-as-you go options like PagePlus or VZW options i don't know about?

In for one. Had been eyeballing these for some time; helps I just ordered a non-exploding Note 5 to accompany it. Not the best seller rating; reviews show some folks were happy with their purchases. Not going to use the 3g; bought it for the larger battery (yes, it's much thicker than the WiFi model) and GPS. 30 day returns...we'll see...

I got one from them. non OEM charger and box, but works fine. I think the band is aftermarket too, but it's an amazing smartwatch for the money.

How is there a non-oem charger? Isn't it a wireless charger? Do you have pictures of the band?
