Price matched to Dell and used up some gift cards. Thanks! Missed the Linksys wrt-1900acs, so jumped on this one. Lowest it has ever been according to Camel.

be aware that you can't use your 3g/4g usb tethering to the router for back up connection unlike newer Asus routers

that is a must for me now that i have tmobile-one plus

just thought i would mention it

The X4s is much newer and has the better processor. I think the only time the X6 would be better is if you have TONS of clients

I have the normal X4 and range is decent for a concrete house. 5ghz range leaves a lot to be desired, but I understand that's an issue with all 5ghz bands in less than ideal situations like mine. Note that the X4 has been terrible with WIFI IP cams. They frequently lose connection when connected to the X4, but not on my ISPs modem/router combo. Not an issue for me anymore since I went PoE with those cameras, but a heads up for folks planning to use theirs with cameras.

thnaks, that's one of the things I was going to ask. The range on these is any better or worse than most other AP's? I know they are super fast when you are near the unit but when you aren't near the unit is it the same speed as any other 802.11n router since it's always on 2.4ghz only?
