So It's not unusual for Big John's Beef Jerky to knock a few bucks off of their 2 lb (total) specials with a couple of more bucks for "lifetime loyalty" discounts, but it's been a while since the total for me has been less than $30.

Go to Big John's web site at here [bigjohnsbeefjerky.com] and select their front page special of 1 Lb bags - Pack of 2 bags.

After choosing flavors, at the cart enter CODE manjal to knock off $6.98 to bring the current total to $31.95 (Code is short for the new Mango Jalapeno flavor, but you don't have to choose it).

If you've purchased from Big John's before, you may have a discount associated with your account. In my case I have a 5% lifetime loyalty discount and 3% Loyalty Rewards. So for me the total was $29.39.

Obviously, YMMV with respect to the extra discounts.

Edit:
bargainhunters in post #29 points out that the coupon works for the 4 x 1/2 Lb Bag combination. Thanks bargainhunters!

-We're fully stocked will all flavors of "fatty" jerky right now. If you want "fatty" jerky, use the Special Instructions box (on the checkout page) to let us know which bags that you order to be "fatty". "Fatty" jerky is only available in regular strips.

Here is some more info about "fatty" jerky:
What is it?
It's our regular strips of jerky, but it has much more fat (similar to bacon). It has a bit more moisture than our regular jerky, and the fat adds a dimension of flavor that will overwhelm your taste buds. The fatty version of our jerky has been available upon request since 2010, but we started making it available to a wider audience a few years ago. You can see what it looks like on our Facebook[list-manage1.com] page

How do I get some? You won't find it listed anywhere on our website (it's still a semi-secret). Place your order as normal. Then, use the special instructions box on the checkout page to tell us which bags you would like to be "fatty" jerky. It is only available in Strips.

Misc info about "fatty" beef jerky. As the name implies, "fatty" jerky is different than our regular jerky. It has more moisture than our regular jerky and will be more tender because of it. The moisture will also cause it to have a shorter shelf life. We recommend refrigerating it after opening or eating it within a couple of days. The fat content isn't consistent; some strips will have hardy any fat, while others will be well marbled. The "fattiest" strips will generally have less fat than you'd find in bacon. Try it[list-manage.com] for yourself. It will we well worth it.

I'm in for 4 Lbs for sure. I really hope the Mango Jalapeno is as good as Fiery BBQ. I'll be in heaven! Thanks, op!

Bought 2 pounds before but never signed up for the, loyalty stuff but I did this time. I was pleasantly pleased with it last time so i,ordered another 2 pounds. I am not a paid shill lol. It is quite different than what you buy at the big retail stores. More authentic I would say without being dried out. I think,it was in strips last time. Good deal since tax free for me and no shipping fees added on.

Our Strips are the way we have been making jerky for years and is preferred by most of our customers. Steak Fries are a much thicker cut of jerky and is enjoyed by those who like big, thick pieces of jerky. In fact, they are called Steak Fries because they are about the size and shape of a steak fry.

Wish there was a coupon for the 4x 1/2 pound bags, so I'm not stuck with too much of a single flavor if I don't like it. Has anyone tried mango jalapeno in fatty? It sounds pretty delicious.

Ive tried their original, pepper & garlic, sriracha, fiery hot, and teriyaki. It's all good jerky though I didn't care for the teriyaki flavoring Im sure others will if thats your thing. My personal favorite is the fiery hot.

My order last time was really dried out and tough. Bad batch or what to be expected?

Their quality seems to be lacking lately. I got a bag of mold my last order, then it took 6 weeks to get a reply from their customer service. I couldn't get a reply on my second set of questions, never got a refund, won't buy again.

One of mine before was "more" dried out than the other but it was acceptable. Maybe the owners will chime in since on the "dryness" of certain flavors or types. I am sure they are seeing an uptick on their Google Analytics on these new sales and should be able to easily find out "where" these orders originated from.
