Installing u verse Internet (updating) no date to resolve issue???

I have been a Uverse customer over 10 years I recently switched to direct tv ( which I hate) but I also decide to combine my bill and upgrade modem since it was 5 years old. They were to install it Saturday but now they are saying it has something to do with the outside box and have no idea when it will resolve?

Anyone come across this issue?

It has been 3 days without Internet. Plus they took my old u verse equipment. I want to fo ask for a lower monthly price too... I have it at $50 a month

I got rid of Uverse partially because they lied to me and handled my problem really bad.

My internet and tv service went out suddenly. I called them out and the technician that came out claimed that the issue was at the telephone pole. He said he would dispatch a pole technician. The telephone pole technician said that everything was fine at the pole. He said that he would need to contact a different technician who would have to check at the local co box. I called At&t and they told me that they had someone looking at my issue inside their office, actively working on my issue. They said that they had had equipment failure, etc etc.

In total 6 days went by without tv or internet. I was really dead in the water without anything at all. I ended up going to my local at&t store and told them that i'd need them to give me a hotspot or something while at&t figured out what the issue was. At least they were quick about doing that, but only because they wondered what the heck was taking so long??

On the 7th day a "master tech" comes out and says, "oh look, you have a bad wire coming to your house from the telephone pole". 15 mins later I was back up and running! Really?!? All that run around could have been handled in 15 minutes instead of 7 freakin' days!

I ended up getting like $400 in credit. I was sooo pissed!

Hmm thank you for sharing!! This sounds like what they are going to do to me I wonder if I should string them along cancel later and have that credit be applied to my direct tv bill ... I am currently using my tmobile hotspot seems to run the same speed

long time uverse customer, switched to charter. could not be happier. 60mb for $30/mo. got a free roku 3 as well.

I am still waiting for Internet they have not contacted me. My area does not get charter Frown we get time warner tjough

When they experienced problems next door, AT&T had to visit my neighbor for two to three hours each day for several days. The neighbor was supremely pissed at them. They went without TV and internet for a week. I'd be pissed, too.
