It doesn't matter if YOU care about PFC, it matters of your power supply has active PFC...

if your power supply has active PFC, chances are, it won't like a simulated sine wave, and won't run correctly... For that case, you would want a Pure Sine Wave UPS like this...

On the flip side, a PSU without active PFC should run fine on either type of UPS...

Yeah... not even close... Pure Sine Wave is a must for many power supplies with active PFC... Not a recommendation, not a nice thing to have, a must... They will not work correctly on a simulated sine wave... Otherwise you get blue screens, freezes, and most commonly frequent random shut-downs...
