I have a similar strip hanged by the ceiling of my annex housing powered by rechargeable batteries that last about a month of normal use.

This was probably one of the more useful buys I’ve made in the last few months.

Now I’ve ordered two more sets to use in other places where I don’t want to drill walls and I just need a little light to “guide me”.

Note they say "...of normal use" - a phase entirely dependent upon how "normal" is defined. I tend to doubt they're on 24x7 or even all night.

I've seen LED strands like this in use on patios and similar. Seems like a better concept than LED Christmas lights because they appear to be sealed enough to keep water out of the wire/led array.

That said, they are considerably dimmer.

I might go take a look at the fully programmable RGB LED strips. Those have gotten A LOT cheaper in recent years...

You are better of getting a motion sensor LED on batteries, will last years and will light up the area better.
