I just got a T-Mobile variant from Groupon for $99.99 about a month ago and I must say this is hands down the best bang for your buck phone you can get. It's on Android 6.0 and besides the screen sucking down the battery life, the phone is excellent. Looks great, no slowdown, plays anything I throw at it.

You can save the battery life by putting the brightness at auto, this helps a ton. I can get through a whole day on the stock battery with about 15-20% juice left after moderate usage which is better than my Nexus 6.

I bought myself an unlocked T-mobile variant and my wife an unlocked AT&T variant.

I cannot get the AT&T version to upgrade to Android 6.0. That's a warning: AT&T made it an absolute pain to upgrade. If you don't have an AT&T chip, you cannot upgrade. So I bought an AT&T GoPhone chip, put some credit on it, and the darn thing still won't upgrade. It lets me checks once a day for the upgrade and then says I have the current version of the OS. No I do not!

AT&T are just jerks about this and I have to recommend staying away from anything labelled AT&T.

In short: My experience suggests you should get the unlocked T-mobile version if you actually want Android 6.

D850 (AT&T) has more LTE bands than D851(TMO), as for upgrading, I might just root/upgrade this on my own, I never liked LG's/Carrier's UI, tons of bloatware.

Sprint LS990 checking in. Sprint screwed up by not releasing a MM firmware so the only way to get MM is by rooting (which I would have wanted to use hotspot/tether anyway).

I gotta say so far I still haven't found the perfect ROM. There are always a bunch of bugs in Fulmics. So much so that I'm not upgrading to the latest 6.1. CM looks very convoluted and I tried Dirty Unicorn briefly but... concluded overall something's usually wrong with one of the rom's.

Otherwise, screen is great. Camera is pretty good. Removable battery + mSD slot are good to have. A steal at current prices because everyone's afraid of bootloop which only affects G4 AFAIK?

My boss has a LG G3 we use to test AT&T's signal, but it reboots every now and then after we've rooted it, probably because we messed with too many things. I haven't heard anything bad about G3, G2 I know had the screen/ghost touch problem. I had a G2 that I kept in my drawer for half a year, turn it on half a year later, half the screen was dead lol

That sucks. No the boot loop isn't re-starting randomly. It's bricked by a hardware defect and you can't go further:

Is anyone using Nano SIM in LG G3, and is it OK without moving around or do I have to use adapter? I am worried about SIM adapters messing up the pins.
I might just use Samsung J320A (Galaxy Express Prime) from AT&T for $80 which has native Nano-Sim slot, so no worries about PINS getting messed up. Sure LG G3 is miles better, but at least Samsung is brand new.

snipperruff is correct. The bootloop is widely known "bootloop" issue. The bootloop was also common in their next gen G4. The fix was replacing the motherboard. I got screwed because my phone was not under warranty anymore. Not sure if these refurb has that done, but not worth the risk in my opinion.

in for 1, just broke my g2 and it cost less for the refurb g3 instead of hassle of fixing g2 (again)

So it affects the G4 and not the G3?

I swap a nano with adapter often..no problems.

Thanks, I decided to wait for J3. Thanks, good to know. I really love G3 actually. At this price we can easily sell it for what we paid actually, it's that good, but I didn't want to have another phone lying around.
