It's .50 in the 9/11 redplum insert. Chicago Trib cover had Taster's Choice; regional paper covers had Sam's Club.

Yes, Eggland is always way more expensive. For comparison, in my area Walmart has large eggs $0.64 every day. I guess its a deal if you like to over pay for eggs, even after coupons.

My Target has their brand large eggs for $1 a dozen this week, fyi, for comparison (I didn't check what price Eggland was yesterday when I went to pick that up). Thanks for the combo heads up though (Cartwheel+coupon), I'll have to see how it shakes out in my area.

I've always wondered about deals like this. Do people search online for posts about retailers near them, see they can save 50% on a pack of eggland eggs (back to normal egg price), and run out the door?

I guess if you buy 4 (the maximum) its more savings compared to your time researching the deal...but then you have 4 dozen eggs. For a few people that may be perfect, but I think most of us buy one dozen at a time for a reason.

Just curious, not trying to give anyone a hard time.

Erm...for people like me trying to make sure I get enough protein in my diet (working on losing weight...already lost 113 lbs) I eat 3 eggs for breakfast and 3 hardboiled for lunch+snacks so I eat a half dozen a day so I really appreciate when these deals are shown.
Although that doesn't really answer your question, I am just stating that you are correct in assuming it's nice for some people. Smilie

I remember that. It was after Easter. I also ended up buying the max and giving them to friends and family.

avoid carbs has worked great for losing weight even without trying, so eggs are a must. High Five

deal alerts are an invaluable resource. no need to search, you get pop-ups whenever your screen is refreshed like i did. and no need to run out the door for this deal b/c it's still good for 3 more days. there are deals where you should run out the door, but this is not one of them. more like stop off after work on your way home or when you are out and about this wknd.

just use a keyword like *target* for retailers or *eggs* for items you are looking for deals on. though i doubt most people have deal alerts for eggs, more like xbox, ps4, smartphone, tv, etc. these days i don't recommend setting any rating for deals. too many people these days are gaming the system and TD'ing deals trying to hide them. also, if you wait until the rating is a 4-5, many times you will miss out b/c it will be sold out or the price has been corrected.

target is just doing this to get you in the door to buy other stuff. but for people who buy a lot of eggs, you can do usually do 4 like cartwheel discounts per transaction and 6 transactions per day on one account. so if someone really wanted, they could buy 24 dozen eggs.

btw, also use an inventory checker to check inventory and price at your nearest store.
