Some Hampton Bay fans are on sale but do not have the "Save 25 Percent when you use Promo Code..." message. This promo code appears to work on those, too. For example:
Hampton Bay Larson 52-in Brushed Nickel Ceiling Fan [homedepot.com]
Was: $85.71
Sale: $68.57 (20% off)
After promo code: $51.43 (total 40% off)

I need to buy the receiver unit for the fan remote (the one that gets wired into the fan). I think model number is FAN-18. Any suggestions where I can find that for cheap? Thanks

If you want to move any air for cooling do not buy this fan. The blade pitch on these cheap fans is so small it spins like crazy and you cannot feel a thing.

I have a Hampton bay in my kitchen. The $50 model. it was on 24/7 the whole summer. Quiet as a mouse!

In for another one for my bedroom. Thank you!

The have a 72" DC fan that the coupon is applying for me which brings it from $299 to $224.25. It's indoor / outdoor and is the cheapest I have seen this model.

$20 seems like a decent deal for any ceiling fan, but man, that thing is cheap looking.
On the fence for a couple for kid's bedrooms I'm remodeling - almost cheaper than an overhead light fixture alone.

Are Hampton Bay's any good? I've heard Hunters are good, and can't remember if it was the Hampton Bay or Harbor Breeze that is junk.

I second this. I bought a house that had these fans installed in all the upstair rooms. We spent the past week removing all 4 of them because they don't move air and use a single candelabra light to light the whole room. I contemplated putting a few in the garage but if I'm putting in the effort to wire my garage ceiling I want fans that actually work. They are all going in the trash.

Edit: these ones looks like they take standard bulb based on the q&a page instead of candelabra like mine.

Some Hampton Bays are good. I would aim for 52 inch ones not these ones. See my comment above. I guess they are a good option for small kids room if you don't want them to catch a cold in the summer time lol.

I definitely agree it is cheap looking but $20 bucks what do you expect. BUT I have to say a little spray paint does wonders! Look on Pinterest for inspiration =)

Yeah, the $20 fan is a 'meh' deal. Looks like the same POS fan under the Mainstays brand at Walmart for only a few bucks more: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainst...e/42068223
