Me too. From what they do have the stuff my cat would like never seems to have delivery as an option.

I have recently started feeding a stray young cat. Do any of you "cat people" have any suggestions on what I should get them?

If you are not sure of the cat's age, I would use a dry kitten food for a couple months and then switch over to a regular adult formula. You might have to try out a few foods, cats can be picky though a stray or feral cat might be more likely to eat what is offered for lack of choices. My cats have currently decided that they like a brown rice based food, they were trying to eat the dog's rice formula food so I decided to give him a break from having to wait for the cats to raid his food bowl.

The kitty is lucky to have you, most people feeding strays just go buy whatever is the cheapest which may be lacking what they need to stay healthy when exposed to the elements 24/7.

Lmao! Yes! And to answer the original question I think you should give them whatever you are willing to pay for. Any food is better than them starving, but of course the more expensive food is healthier. I recently started feeding a couple strays around my house and they are happy and look healthy on the cheap stuff. I leave out a bowl of Cat Chow and just refill it when it gets low. It disappears at a consistent rate.

If you live in a reasonably sized city there's places that'll do it for free

Do not listen to the previous poster regarding catnip. I'd strongly recommend Meow Mix(R) Original Choice Dry Cat Food. I'm sure the stray cat will be one happy camper

Anything Grain Free, Beyond, Zero Grain, IAMS. None of these are super high quality just better than the other stuff IMO. Thanks for feeding a stray! If you aren't looking to take it in, perhaps see if there is a VCA animal hospital close to you and call them. They usually take in strays, vet them and adopt them out no matter what the age is. Just a thought!
