We have had a few deals in the last couple weeks with short dated points. I managed to roll about $400 in short dated points from the shoe deal at sears and the office/school supply deal at Kmart to expiring the end of november. And made about $100 in points. Kmart and sears have a promotion going until 10/29 for $5 in points on every fitness accessory. Points roll just make sure to pay with at least a penny out of pocket. Of course it's Kmart/Sears so not all items qualify. I went to 5 different Kmart stores and 4 of them had at least 4 items priced under $5 that gave points. The other store didn't have any fitness items on price drop, I even tried to scan them still came up regular price. I only have one sears store near me but they had items on price drop also that qualified. I will post items with some example prices from stores around me. I took a few pictures at sears but forgot to at Kmart. You can also use coupons to lower the price although I tried to use a $10 off $75 purchase at sears but it wouldn't work. I used a lot of coupons at Kmart on multiple orders.

Price drop signs showed ending 9/17 but the points deal goes until 10/29
I used the kmart app instore and looked up items on price drop to see if they qualified for points

Seems like a lot of work for very little points.

To bad this isn't an online deal. Brick and mortar, along with YMMV, make this deal not so hot.

It would be great if this were online so I could combine it with the $25 in Office Supplies to push the total to $30 so would get free shipping.

If anyone has a nice $5 or $15 (to use with a $10 off 30) filler I'd love to hear it.

At checkout, pay attention to the pre-tax price total. Ignore the tax. They will ask you if/how many points you want to redeem. So you should then respond with a number paying for everything except one penny. After redeeming points, they'll say you owe $0.01, which you can pay any way you like.

so if the pre-tax total is $5.49, redeem 5,480 points.

In general, I never assume the cashier will know anything. Be prepared to tell them everything they need to do. Hopefully they will not think they know what to do when they don't.

when they get to payment screen tell them how much money in points you want to use. Check the subtotal on the screen do not go by what they tell you if you are in a state with tax. They should type that amount on the keypad just as they would if you were giving them that amount in cash then hit the syw button on screen.

Showing ten pound dumbbells are 15. Where did you price check? On line or in the store kiosk?

Also, how fast do points show up? That is, can I go through the line again within minutes, or have to wait an hour?
