Link and code work for me. I want to go VR, but I don't think my rig (circa 2012-13) is up to the task.

Wish I had the money, by far the best VR experience on the market. HTC beat Oculus at their own game and the PS VR isn't even in the same category, much less the same league.

Please everyone buy this! nodbouncenodbouncenod I don't have the resources to buy into first-gen, but hopefully there's enough response to these that there's a strong second-gen showing.

Are there any killer apps for the Vive yet?

I've got a 980ti Classified and i7 6700k build, but I'm thinking about going with PSVR just because the games seem more appealing.

Little tech demos like Office Simulator and stuff like that seem too hollow for a nearly $800 purchase. Are there more substantial games on Vive that I've been missing?

The best use right now (imo) is games that don't even slightly require the Vive, but are enhanced by it. Mostly emersive games that you won't even use the Vive controllers for, like Elite Dangerous: Horizons, etc

I'll have to look into it more. So far I find the PSVR games more impressive/substantial than any of the things on the VR section of Steam (DriveClub VR looks great), but I could easily see myself getting a Vive if it means Dark Souls 3 VR.

Look at the quote above yours. That guy summarizes it well. I've tried all 3 and PSVR was almost unusable to me. I have a pretty strong stomach, but do experience some motion sickness at times (though nothing like my SO). Might be that others wouldn't, however PSVR was also very dim compared to the others. I wore it in the same environment as Oculus, and if anything, the Vive environment was brighter. I'd skip it.

Yeah, I guess what I'm trying to say is that the games that have been announced for VR on PC so far (not mods of regular games) seem like hollow tech demos, while some of the PSVR games look like fun, full-fledged games.

However, as the previous poster pointed out, I should also remember that I have a huge amount of full-fledged content the Vive through modded PC games. So even though there isn't a killer app on PC VR right now, modded functionality could be just as good.

Oh yeah, I hear ya. The PSVR games do seem more compelling, I agree with you. But what I'm saying is the experience with them will suck by comparison.
