This sale begins Sunday, 9/18.

Limit 3 on the Rhino HDMI cable.

Also, the Netgear rebate has been ongoing since 6/26. Make sure you haven't already purchased this item for rebate offer #16-81422

Seems like a good deal on the Toshiba drive. A quick search shows generally favorable reviews. Can anyone chime in with more knowledge?

It's popular. Most of the time when it's on sale people say only good things.

I usually go with HGST due to their low failure rates compared to the competition.

hard to trust comparison graphs like that which are produced from the manufacturer making the claim - any third party data out there?

I'm interested in the 4TB drive, too. Do they do free shipping?

I think you are confused. The data linked comes from a third party. The company that generated those charts and stats is Backblaze. They aren't a manufacturer, they are an online backup service that use thousands of hard drives and keep stats on failure rates for the drives they use:

Damn , just bought the Toshiba P300 3TB about two weeks ago at Newegg for $80 , and I'd happily have opted for the 4 TB instead for a mear $10 more .

I do like the drive thus far , quite and good speed , beating out my HGST NAS 3TB in both . My buddies P300 2TB is running excellent also (fast and quite) for the last 6 months .

Cant really complain or catch all the deals , but I'd have liked to have 4TB and 128 cache for that xtra $10 spent .

This drive is *NOT* NAS rated. So you are not comparing apples to apples.

I was commenting on the P300 3TB to the X300 4TB in extra space and cache (for a mear $10 more), not to my NAS drive in those aspects. I only compared the NAS to my P300 in speed and noise to give a "general idea" of the difference between the two .

I know the difference's and WHY . Maybe try re-reading the post . Wink
