Thread Details

Best Buy has the entry level Microsoft Surface Book on sale for $1,349. Combine with the current $150 student coupon for Surface/Surface Book to make the final price $1,199.

This is $50 cheaper than the front page slick deal 4 months ago when I bought the same computer.

Hands down the best laptop I've ever owned. This is coming from a guy who has owned: XPS 13, XPS 15, Spectre x360, Surface Pro 3, Surface Pro 4, MacBook Pro Retina
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I'm in the same boat. At this rate, I'll just wait 6 more months for the updated, redesigned Surface Book 2.

The Surface Book is dope, but who the hell buys Windows laptops with these mediocre specs at this high of a price tag, even with the student coupon? I mean c'mon... An i5 with 128GB SSD and 8GB of RAM for $1500 retail, $1199 with this "sale"? That's asinine.

If you want a laptop with high end specs, this is not for you. I don't understand people who don't understand the purpose of this laptop.

Isn't the purpose of every product to make something that the public actually wants to buy? Who exactly is this $1500 weak specced machine geared toward? 128GB isn't enough storage for a computer of any kind, and is a bit embarrassing at this price point.

It's been this price for the past month or so. Nothing new here.
