I have both for PS4. I play Rockband a lot more. The new Guitar Hero Live concept was good (in terms of playing to the backdrop of "dynamic" video), but I can't stand their new setup (2 x 3) compared to the 1x5 that was used for so long.
Anyone else find it strange that the price is 31.99? That's 20% off 39.99. 20% off 49.99 should be 39.99. Price mistake? Weird.

How big is the guitar controller? Will it fit inside a 17" backpack?

No... especially since once the neck is connected to the body, you (supposedly) can't detach it.

It can be detached, but it isn't easy.

Far and away Rock Band.
Much superior and also offers singing and drums.
The drums will at least teach you limb independence and you could potentially learn to play real drums with it.
Singing is there for the ladies.

PS3 version is $16 at Target but you have to click your shoes together 3 times while chanting "there's no place like last gen..."

The 2x3 buttons are a lot more realistic to playing an actual guitar than 1x5, so if anyone is ever trying to transfer to a real guitar it would help more getting used to that. However Rocksmith would be the actual game to get if you wanted to learn real guitar.
