Humble still has the full version for $24.99, which makes the unlock grind much easier according to people who have played the starter edition. Might be worth the extra $10 to not have the hundreds of hours of grind to unlock

EDIT: Scratch that, price went up since this morning. Amazon physical for $22.90 now the best alternate option.

Having over 500 hours of play time, I purchased it on the day of release. I would skip the starter edition and get the full version.

Also to those that do purchase this game. If coming from Battlefield or Call Of Duty. You need to throw out your thinking. This is very strategic game play, where is operator on the team does something to help or counter the other team. So when you die you make it harder for your team.

If you enjoy FPS games. Give this a go, you'll find it very hard to go back to other 'die and respawn' game again.

Issues with server disconnects are still semi common, but the hacking/aimbots has taken a serious hit with the additional anti cheat features.

Enjoy.

This game is too realistic to the point of being less fun yes it has futuristic things that arent real yet but the actual gameplay and movement are too realistic(which means slow I think I could move faster and with more animation than these robots in a real firefight but thats what people have been fooled into thinking is realism robotic characters that can only crouch and camp and make great stationary targets and robotic predictable on foot movement thats easy to shoot through walls and easy to camp). CSGO has the same type of robotic movement but its faster than this and still more fun. I played the beta of this and didnt like it.

Uhhhh slow movements and staying behind cover during a gun fight is realistic, especially in close quarters combat. Do you really think running or jumping wildly while shooting is realistic police tactics?

LOL always so predictable, and people wonder how I address everything before the responses.......... Eventually you do so much research you understand the entire sphere of influence and then predicting populations becomes too easy.........

Is camping in a game with only straight line of sight anything like close quarters combat behind combat irl? nope most games dont have cover mechanics and those that do no one ever masters them and they arent fun but mousebot fps is fun. Also irl you can peek lying down or peek crouch often in a game with cover mechanics its just peek crouch(irl there are more variations of peek crouch in a game there is usually just one) there are a million ways real cover is more unpredictable than games and yes I could jump around in close quarters and still shoot accurately in real life. Just because you love recoil and random spray patterns in the game doesnt mean its completely realistic on some guns yes on other guns no also I think I could run faster with full body armor gear and move in a crouch faster than most of these "realistic" games. The ingame characters seem to me to be below 70% full possible movement power and speed often its 50%. Also real human all out fight motion is wikki and wacky and slappy its not all calm and robotic like these games also a real human target can jump horizontally and flop around or jump over cover and hide on the other side its much harder to hit a real human target its much easier for us to hide our profile from bullets behind cover irl we can fit between things in games that you often cant we flop and flap and jump around all wikki like ferrel cats running out of a dumpster. Just go watch those Iraq and Afghanistan videos with the flir when the chopper opens fire or the ac-130 starts dropping mortars and you see that wikki jumping behind barrels for cover instantaneously like wild animals or ferrel cats. Thats real human motion and no game has yet captured it.

I don't think he played the game much. Hell, the later weapons in the game that combine fire and electricity (among others) aren't very "realistic". Combat isn't Halo if that's what they mean but that isn't a bad thing at all. It's a futuristic shooter but not 100 years future, more like 20 years from now future.

No I was pretty sure everyone likes military only games "cause its real, I'm not a nerd cause I'm playing real simulators unlike those fantasy games quake and hl2"(this is when bf1942 and counterstrike really picked up(and this mentality developed) also cod at this point was considered more of a military shooter before battlefield improved(still a b engine) and then cod was considered arcade like oh yeah I think quite a few played americas army as well). Thing is tho a game is a game and military shooters that are unrealistically slow and robotic are less fun. I was fairly certain I was going to get allot of responses so I was sure everyone was going to hate the truth not agree with it.
