I already have this light, but an old CCC alert just popped up for it. It's as low as $41.33 from the "other sellers" list, and $43.68 from amazon with Prime. This is the lowest price it's been since January 2015, according to CC.

This is an extremely popular bicycle headlight and in my experience, works great. I would definitely buy another if mine dies. 4.5 stars on amazon.

Pros:
-"permanent" mount, which the light clips into and out of, for easy installation and removal from your bike when it's stored in an insecure location.
-really bright light, riding on a winding paved trail in complete darkness is no problem
-flashing modes for alerting cars to your presence
-swivel of the light so you can aim it to the side, so you don't blind oncoming bicyclists
-standard mini-usb charging port

cons:
-some people will want it brighter, especially for riding off road at night

or just buy two of these for $8 shipped and two $1 bicycle flashlight mounts

http://www.ebay.com/itm/361531600068

or http://www.ebay.com/itm/361680301421

(in reality only 500 lumens but still bright as heck)

mount http://www.ebay.com/itm/201501826832

usa mount (less quality) http://www.ebay.com/itm/151731693552

uses standard 18650 batteries (or three AAA) so you can just swap anytime and recharge anywhere

I have two Cygolite bike lights (Dash 320). I also have 5 Ultrafire flashlights.

My Cygolite bike lights have been used at least 3x per week since June of last year. They perform flawlessly every single time I use them. They have been 100% reliable for me.

My Ultrafire lights are about the same age, but with much less usage. They all have switch issues. None of them turn on consistently, or stay on consistently. They are not reliable at all, and currently reside in my junk box.

Beyond the observation that Cygolite blows Ultrafire out of the water on reliability, it is also a far superior purpose-built light.

- The Cygolite has several useful modes, such as steady light plus flash, which is great to use as the sun sets. The Ultrafires have the typical import light Hi/Lo/Strobe.
- The Cygolite comes with a battery installed, and charges with any USB power supply. The Ultrafires require you to hunt down batteries and a charger. Finding safe, high-quality batteries is as big of a pain in the butt as finding "genuine" Ultrafire products.
- The Cygolite has a wide beam pattern that is ideal for biking. Ultrafires give you a garbage square beam that is terrible for biking.
- The Cygolite is made in the USA, and therefore the manufacturer is liable under US law for any design flaws or safety issues. The Ultrafire is imported, and it would be nearly impossible to hold them accountable for an unsafe or flawed product, or the damages or losses those products might cause.

I'll never buy another Ultrafire product. Cygolite, however, is at the top of my list for bike lights, if my current lights ever fail.

Those are some crappy lights even by Chinese standards. Probably not even a real Ultrafire cause once in awhile they make an ok product. Chinese are so bad that they will even clone existing clones like Ultrafire (started as a Surefire clone). Very likely that's not even a real Cree in there now that they Chinese are making fake Cree LEDs.
I have a bunch of switches in one of my drawers to replace the crappy switches that used to come in this lights but the ones that I bought were not this cheap and crappy. Once the LED drivers started frying and cooking themselves there is not much you can do except replace the driver. Seen LEDs get roasted by the Drivers too.
If you really want to scrape the bottom of the barrel for Chinese crappy lights then stick with better brands like Walmart flashlights with some brands like Duracell or Bushnell. They seem to be ok.
Solarforce, Fenix and other brands are good Chinese brands also but they cost more then that cheap trash from ebay.
I have a cygolite from another deal and they are well made.

I ride with these at least twice a week. They work excellently and I never have to worry about having light for a >2 hr ride. Another friend rides with his cheap Chinese set up he got from Amazon, more often than not, he ends up borrowing one of my two for some of our rides.

Good buy Big Grin

i love my cygolight! it is bright and works well to see in dusk.

the only issue is I need to keep it a little far from my bike computer. My computer is a magnetic one and the strobing sometimes disables my computer, mph, etc.

FYI, the $41.33 ships from China, and the $43.68 with Prime says ships in 1-2 months; hover mouse over them to see this. Thanks OP.

Nice price on a very highly reviewed light. As a pint of comparison, Nashbar has it as part of their supposed "big lighting sale" this month for $49.99.
