My Patriot Supply is having a promotion through https://www.preparewithglenn.com/ (despite Glenn Beck it is still a good deal) where you can order 140 servings of food storage for $99, normally $217. You can order up to 2 at a time. The food is pre-selected and you can see what is included before you order.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

snake oil selling sociopath. you can use any backpackers loadout/recipe and have much more nutritional longer lasting supply for cheaper that is easily available. either way unless you have a fortified bunker your stuff definitely will be stolen from you anyways if it really comes to that.

I totally understand if you don't like Glenn beck, but I don't understand why you would call this food storage snake oil? Can you really prepare your own food for less than $0.70 a serving and get it to last for 25+ years? If you can, then please share with us so we can do the same.

Food storage is also not just for "the end times". Have you ever lost a job? I have, and having a food storage is very useful when you have a very limited unemployment budget. If your the type to share, it is also great if you have a neighbour that is having rough times. It is a very inexpensive way to be kind to others.

Canned foods are only good for a couple years, these are good for 25+ years. Cans are are also much harder to store and rotate unless you have rolling shelves. I have rolling shelves, and I have a lot of canned food, but because of the short lifespan I don't consider it long term food storage.

Canned foods can last for decades. You can go to youtube and watch people eating canned goods from WW2.

long term storage these kind of products are not ideal because of cost and weight. if you have the room to securely store the 9000lbs of food required for a 25 year supply then so be it, but mountain house or etc is by far not the cost effective or efficient way of doing it. a few pails for an earthquake or emergency sure, excellent. but for a nuclear winter lasting a generation as beck sells this as, lol, snake oil and baiting you unto being a predators victim in a post apolalyptic world, which a vast majority would become in less than one year so shelf life means nothing.

130 calories per serving is what i am seeing for the patriot supply. there are kits out there in the 350+ calories per serving. and for long term storage use a calories per $ ratio if you own a bunker. if you do not own a bunker then shelf life means nothing, you food will be stolen from you long before it ever goes bad.

there are a few excellent sources for what I call storage provisions. Has this food been tested to last 25 years? That's where you have to trust the messenger, and if you trust Glenn (buy gold, errr... buy the gold I'm selling so I can make money off of you but don't you worry about why I'm selling it) Beck then you are a fool.

Yes this is snake oil. For fools that think is something really bad happens to our society that having a maybe reliable source of food for up to 25 years is all you need. If you need someone to freeze dry your food ( and all they steps before that) you will eat for awhile but don't fool yourself that you will survive long with some food and some guns. Those with real survival skills will. But of course if the world ends in JUST such a way that you can just sit in your bunker for a bit then come out and luve happily ever after with YOUR skill set, LMAO. Good luck.

You're going to eat preppers? Why not just eat the preps you stole from them?
