sorry to crap on the thread but mattress toppers will actually ruin your mattress bc they prevent the mattress from venting your body heat. this leads to premature breakdown of your mattress especially inner coil. these are supposed to be used if your mattress is old and breaking down already to get another year or so out of it. I learned this the hard way when my $1500 Stearns and foster broke down in 1 year.
So you paid $1500 for a mattress and put a $20 topper on?

I bought this in the deal. I don't know about cooling part. I didn't feel it is cool at all, but i can tell one thing it is comfortable. Initially i thought I was going to return it after I opened this one up b/c It looks cheap and so lite... however I decided to keep it. I have memory form mat.. I put this thing on top of it. It is pretty comfortable. My memory form is firm side one which I like. Just my 2 cents

Memory foam and cooling are an oxymoron. If you have temp problems (like you and I do) then foam is completely out of the equation.

They never tell you that heat up part. To make it worse, they try to pass the bad part as good. The memory foam make a mold out of your body and you are stuck there unable to move. laugh out loud

Bottom line on top: don't bother.

I bought one of these after seeing a deal here a couple months ago, same price I think. I should have returned it. It is the exact opposite of cool and feels no different than any other memory foam, in terms of insulating you. Too thin and soft to really be of much use anyway - put any weight at all on it and it compresses fully. I think I'm going to cut it up and use it in multiple layers for pillows or added to a chair's stuffing or something.

Hmm...guess I'll buy a second one since the 1st one is good. Will stacking work good?

a latex topper may help. I have a 2.5" on top of an otherwise hot foam mattress and it's not hot anymore

I agree. Alas, I have a $4000 latex mattress that I have a memory topper on lol. Of course I didn't pay 4K for it. Deal was just too good and ended up being a little to firm for the wife.

1.5" is really nothing more than a little buffer, you will still get the support benefits.

Many high end mattresses have built in toppers like feathertop and imho, using a removable topper is better than built in as you can change.

Thinking about getting some cal kings to pimp my dogs beds. If you cut memory foam up into chunks it is a superb bed for dogs.

it was a little more than that but it was mostly for keeping the mattress clean not to make it more comfortable
