I have a set of these (branded differently, mine are labeled SoHo II, but look identical). I have had them about two years now, and use them fairly frequently. The listening profile is pretty flat, which I like, and the bass rolls off smoothly. I felt that the highs were a little sharp, but tweaking the source resolved it for me. If you are partial to the "SUPER BASS BLAST" of other brands, you will probably hate them, because they sound like the source you provide them with. There are certainly nicer IEMs out there, but you won't find them at this price.

Battery life is good, and they easily get through a long flight. The NC feature is good, and is clearly designed to remove the low frequency noise of aircraft. I give it an 8 for aircraft noise, and a 6 for office noise. You will easily hear the flight attendant ask if you'd like a drink. The NC feature also amplifies the audio level a bit, which is nice, and also seems fairly flat. Cord noise is minimal, but (like all in-ear NC headphones I've tried) hoodie rub will translate to weird sounds as the NC circuit tries to remove it. Overall, I am pleased with the noise cancelling.

Short version: I paid ~$50, and was pleased. People complain about the audio because they expected amplified, bass-heavy cans, instead of a "monitor style" profile. These aren't life-changing, but they are comfortable, flat, and have reasonable noise cancelling.

If you want a "Beats by $" experience, buy something else, or just throw your money away, stick your head in a bucket, and have someone kick it.
