Sling TV - Spend $15 or more get $5 back

Get a one-time $5 statement credit by using your enrolled card to spend a minimum of $15 or more in one or more transactions online at sling.com/amex by 03/09/2017

For Reference: https://www.americanexpress.com/
https://www.sling.com/

Valid online only. Must add offer to Card and use same Card to redeem. Limit 1 statement credit(s) per American Express® Card across all American Express offer channels. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 3/19/2017, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. POID: CDG9:0001

I would advise against subscribing to slingtv. Their connection always drop especially live sport events, not really worth it.

Good deal. I was thinking of getting Sling for a few months to watch the new seasons of Walking Dead and Better Call Saul when they come on, having stopped my cable recently.

Combining this with the "prepay 3 months, get free Roku 2 [sling.com]" deal could bring 3 months of service AND a ROKU 2 down to $55.

I agree. Enjoying PlayStation Vue on my Roku a lot more. Better picture and much more stable connection.

Do you have to create a new account to qualify for the the free roku? I clock on the offer while logged into my account and it just takes me to my account settings. I don't see the option to prepay for 3 month??

$20 is a good price point that i'd be willing to occasionally pay if their service were more reliable. i had heard things had changed and am disappointed to find out that it isn't.

i've been meaning to try sling again; my initial experience after their initial launch was poor ... the walking dead kept buffering and not loading. the UI was also not as "native" feeling and easy to use as i had hoped ... but dang ... for $20 can't complaint too much.

i understand watchespn allows for sling logins now so getting that channel is less an issue.
