This is a pretty decent deal or a 42in 4k tv! This could easily be used as a computer monitor as well.

I've had mine for roughly a decade and the sound is better than most of the newer TVs. Depends on the model.

I guess what I'm saying is... YMMV Wink
I know what it means, and tax doesn't warrant a YMMV tag. If it did almost every single deal here would need it since tax is paid somewhere.
Your criticism of those correcting the YMMV designation is kind of unwarranted. It's actually helpful to get it right in the topic. If I see YMMV on certain threads (Walmart, Target etc) I avoid even clicking on them because I have no interest in running around looking for things that might not be there or are in short supply. Bottom line is threads will get more views if a deal is not labeled YMMV.

It stands for your mileage may vary... meaning you could pay tax when someone else may not.

Bad news for computer/gaming use but probably ok to use as a TV.

Looking at the manuals for the WE42UX3200 and the WE42UC4200, the menu layout for the OSD looks nearly identical to the current Quasar/Polaroid/Sansui/Silo el-cheapo 42" 4k (same manufacturer as Westinghouse), so I'd say it's probably using the same processing core with the same limitations (4:2:0H/4:2:2V @ 60Hz and 4:2:2H/4:4:4V @ 30Hz, 50ms+ lag).

At ~$500, it's way overpriced compared to the Korean imports Crossover 404K at ~$620 or AMH A399U for ~$580, both which can do 4:4:4 @ 60Hz.

the bottom of the page on Neweggflash says the item is covered by 'Seiki' return policy , why would Seiki cover a Westinghouse TV?

I've seen plenty of threads where SDers cry about 20-30 cent price differences between Lowes stores

Not good for computer monitor IMO.

And to go off topic, is 4k@60Hz@4:4:4 over HDMI 2.0 support only available on major brand TVs here n the USA (and Korean imports)? I swear I remember seeing that Seiki does have 1 or 2 that can do it. Anybody know?
