I tried a Keurig out a little while ago when I got a great price on one but returned it, it just didn't work for me. The coffee is very expensive if you drink as much as I do, and the machine I tried didn't brew the coffee hot enough. To get the best taste out of coffee it needs to be brewed at a high enough temp, it should be hot enough that you have to let it cool to drink it. Using the pods where you put your own coffee in was a pain if you were making several cups a day. They need to get the price of the pods cut in half to even think about using one.

the pods are how they make their money. They released an official cup that allows you to use your own coffee. It is available on amazon.

Yeah I tried those but it was a pain to dump out the coffee and refill 4-5 times everyday. For me it was easier to go back to the carafe style. The model I had you had to buy a certain pod of theirs, other brands wouldn't work unless you rigged it.

Looks like it's up to $99 now.

I called. After speaking with 2 offshore reps who couldn't be understood, I finally got US customer service. That rep honored the price, but only after trying to say that this was $79.99 after the $20 gift card. I mentioned that the original offer was $79.99 plus a $20 gift card. He checked, then came back and gave me the deal. Might be worth a call if you still want this.
