What a deal! According to CCC, that is the lowest price ever from Amazon.

I have these after my z5500 gave out and they are great! I added an Amazon Audio Bluetooth receiver so can play music over Bluetooth as well. I would definitely recommend them.

How do they compare? I had the Z-5500s back in school and they were amazing.

I have a z-5300 with a bad satellite speaker output. New subwoofers are almost as much as this new system. I'm thinking moving to this now that the price has dropped.

Like others have said, I've had them for two years and love them. The ONLY negative I've had is that, though you can change the volume of the rear speakers, you can't change them seperately. Ditto the front left and right ones. Every other speaker is adjustable manually. Love them!

I had a cheaper surround sound system from Logitech... and while the sound was great, I couldn't handle all the wires on/near my desk. Maybe some people can configure their setup better than I, but it was just too many wires so I went back to a 2.1

Not crapping on the deal in any way, but just something to consider before pulling the trigger if you're upgrading from a 2.1 setup!

What on your z5500 gave out. Mine have been going strong for like 10 years now.
