Ok, in all seriousness, what does this actually do? We already microwave potatoes now just by placing them on a plate, poke a few holes with a fork and cook for 4 minutes.

Think it steams the food inside.

A steamed potato is a mushy, grainy-textured potato. Even wrapping in foil is a mistake. (That's a throwback to restaurants serving in foil for appearance)

Some of the other uses for this microwave pocket, such as corn on the cob or warming tortillas, are probably more practical and advisable, if you really want a pouch.

just google how to cook corn in the microwave. Leave the husk on, nuke it, let it cool a little, cut off then end, the corn slides right out.

every nuker has a potato button since 1980.

I wash my taters, poke 'em with a fork then wrap them in those new fangled paper towel inventions before putting in the microwave and pressing the "potato" button

This is tempting. 4 potatoes in 4 minutes would be nice, if only I knew that was realistic. For the price I could find out and not be out much if its not.

I got an 1100Watt microwave and 4 minutes won't cook a potato for me.

I always wrap my potato in foil and toss it in the microwave after poking some holes in it, you telling me I'm doing it wrong? laugh out loud
Don't EVER do that

The corn trick works awesome! Done perfect and no more corn hair between the teeth. Big Grin

you're supposed to leave the fork in to attenuate the microwaves, cooks faster that way.

Just eat it raw. Save time and electricity.

I got one of these as a stocking stuffer a couple years ago. It does cook potatoes a minute or two faster, but the best part is it prevents potatoes from getting that weird chewy texture around the outside. It cooks more evenly with the steam I think.
