Yeah, good deal for the monitors. I picked up a 21.5" 1080p as a spare and an 18.5" for a MAME Bartop Cabinet project (assuming the cabinet ever gets here from China, already have everything else) for $92 shipped.

$130 for an i5 13" laptop. Very tempting even if its old. But its so thick by today's standards of thin laptops.

Nice, scored 2 i3 desktops for my parents for $109 each.

There's still some i5's for $134, most only have 2GB of ram though. Some models of both the i3/i5 optiplex do have HDMI instead of displayport as well.

2nd gen i53rd gen i7

core 2 duo

even at $200 these are simply not worth your $. Not even for the "parents". You can get the i5 6th generation deals for about $275, or if you want, get an i3 6th gen for ~$220 after coupon when they run the 35% off in their outlet. Don't get super old stuff just because it's a few bucks cheaper. A 6th gen i3 will outperform a 2nd gen i5.

Edit: if you absolutely must buy something, get one of the i3/i5 laptops that come out to ~$120 or so after coupon (guessing)

Gotta' call shens on this one... The cheapest 6th-gen Core i3 in their Outlet store right now is $459. Subtract a 35% discount, and you end out at $298.35. That's for their "workhorse" class e5470 with an i3, a 500gb mech HD, 4gb of RAM, and a 720p screen. Contrast that with the e7240 I just picked up for $400 with a Haswell i7, a 256 SSD, 8gb of RAM, and a 1080p touchscreen. Folks just need to do their homework before they buy and not dismiss it outright.
