IPS panel, contrast is not good. Uniformity is terrible, corners are blooming and it is very annoying, no bearable in dark if watching movies. This is a 2015 model. I don't think it is worth at this price. To me is not worth at any price, but some people may buy if cheap enough.

The reviews on Amazon aren't flattering. Does anyone on here own this TV that can provide a firsthand review?

That's racist Stick Out Tongue

I saw this at Fry's yesterday for $1598 and wasn't too impressed for that price. With this price it's more acceptable.

I have the 55" (got it back when Best Buy had open box special for $750).

The bleed at the bottom is kinda distracting during movies at night... but otherwise, its a great android based tv. Netflix and Amazon 4k content look awesome.

Not a personal review, but rtings reviews are always thorough and better than your average firsthand review.

Holy cow this has to be the cheapest 4K / 3D ever posted here. I'd be all over this but I got my sammy 75" from Sears outlet

Good price. The Sammy 8500 9000 was much better though. Sonys do have the best up scaling for SD or 720p resolutions but the IPS is what held me back. I ended up with an OLED anyways but still a good deal.

Wouldn't the uniformity be an issue with the 3D as 3D requires a bright backlight? I recently picked up a Sony Playstation 24" 3D TV for a decent price and noticed that it's picture and backlight are uniform until you turn on 3D. Once 3D is enabled there is some bright backlight bleed from the sides of the screen. It's not terribly distracting, but it is there but again only when 3D is enabled.
