Thank you for sharing.

I don't keep any charging cables under 4 feet - I usually give them to co-workers and friends - so I don't care for 3 of the 5 cables in this deal. That said, unless the cables are of horrible quality, $3 for two 10-foot cables is a great deal.

Speaking of quality, this product has a C grade on Fakespot.com [fakespot.com], which has "detected 29.8% low quality reviews." Unless the cables are overly thick or overly thin, plug into USB ports loosely, or simply don't charge, I personally would not be too concerned about the number of "low quality reviews."

I felt the same way until i got a hub, now i use all of those 1ft cables that sat in the drawer for the last year and can charge the baby monitor, tablets, whatever with them and there isn't a large coil of wire on my desk.

no mention of AWG?

Well, skimming the first couple reviews:

Decent, middle of road quality. Not excellent (very fast) performance, but above average. Better than most, and for that it makes this a good deal.

Though, there was some concern re quality control.

Conclusion, not the fastest cables, but decent performance and at this price for two 10ft cables make it a worthwhile gamble for me.

Some of my friends love the 1-foot cables, and they even use them for external battery packs. I think if I had a USB desktop universal charging station, such as this one [amazon.com], then I may actually use the shorter cables. My most commonly used cables are the 10-foot ones, then the 12-foot cables and then the 6-foot cables.

From what I have noticed, most USB cables sold by third-party Amazon merchants do not mention AWG numbers. I did find two reviews mentioning that these cables are thick (reference [amazon.com]).

Consumer gullibility is as pathetic as the rich assholes who profit from them.

Yeah, we know that the very, very thinnest USB cables bottleneck charging times, but this marketing tactic is like panhandling on the street.

I'm getting a quick charge phone tomorrow. I had thought my regular (decent quality) USB cables would be fine to quick charge. Is that not the case? Can't all decent cables do quick charge? That being said, still could use some long cables, so may order anyhow.

It's not so much charging times as it is a potential fire hazard. Too much current pulled through a small diameter wire can be a bad thing.

haha. Of all the USB cables I have used over the years, my two favorite have been the Monoprice Premium USB to Micro USB Charge & Sync Cable 6ft [monoprice.com] and Volutz Equilibrium Series Nylon Braided Micro-USB to USB Cable [amazon.com].

Your regular cable is just fine. Cables are not normally the factor but rather the charger. But marketing BS makes it sound nice.
I got it for the 10 footers, hopefully they last long, normally the longer the cable the faster it goes bad if it is not good quality.
