$34.99 + Free Shipping

  • 8" 1920x1200 IPS display
  • NVIDIA Tegra 4 Quad-Core CPU
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB Internal Storage
  • MicroSD Card slot (up to 32GB)
  • 5MP Rear + 2MP Front Cameras
  • Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11n + Bluetooth 4.0
  • NFC + GPS
  • Stylus (plastic)
  • Android 4.4 KitKat
  • 4500mAH Li-Ion battery
Running KitKat, but pretty decent specs for only $35. Can side-load many apps that won't install natively just fine (VainGlory Smilie ). Tegra 4 processor is still decently capable for running most heavy 3D gaming apps smoothly (tested GTA: San Andreas. Amazing Spider-Man 2, Asphalt 8, Dark Knight Rises, etc.). Have personally used one in Parent Mode pretty extensively (essentially AOSP/stock Android). Can root using latest KingRoot apk. Google Play Store pre-installed. The rubber bumper case is also removable, though still has noticeably thick bezels.

My kid still uses his nabi 2 we got three Christmases ago. The company was in its infancy and I was smart enough to figure it all out when so many people couldn't. They used FB for troubleshooting and the nabi Moms which were just customers. I think they dumped that but still do everything via FB. Swore I would never buy another of their products, but now this has me thinking.

I'm thinking you don't have it from this deal so I wonder what conditions this will be in? Any warranty? I guess for $35 I'd just throw it out.

edit: I see the warranty info and their explanation of the refurb process. Don't think this comes with a bumper, which isn't that big a deal imo.

Actually, I've purchased two. The first, originally from Amazon on sale for about $89.99 around the first holiday when they came out. A lot of people reported software issues with the early batches (platform was still new for this model), and mine was no exception (happened earlier this year).

Ended up picking up a replacement for my niece from this site (red one though) while I was getting the other serviced under warranty (she uses it for ABC Mouse mostly). The refurb I got from them has had no issues at whatsoever, so she still uses it to this day (been about 6 or 7 months now); and I believe A4C's warranty is 90 days.

The other one would lock up on the boot screen and I'd have to factory reset or reflash it altogether, but thankfully Nabi fixed it and it works fine now (so I kept it as a backup for when she's over). Guess they ironed out the software bugs with an updated flash (likely why both refurbs works as well as they do). Hope this helps Smilie

Yes it helps, thank you for your insight.

I did an edit to my post since I found some of the info I was looking for. I'm kind of torn about this. Like I said I've been able to keep his nabi 2 running but their products do get some bad reviews. I think a lot of it is related to user error (or user confusion). I may just take a flyer on it and see what happens.

The UI is mediocre at best and mine crapped out just after warranty expir. It's not user error when they have refurb tablets by the boatload years after release. Be wary.

As another option, u can also put a Kodi kid's build on this.
