Use Code AEDBYGBZ to get it for 19.97 - a better mount than the one in the OP at least going by the number of reviews and also that there is a free HDMI cable and bubble level plus 10lbs more weight rating AND larger range for the TV sizes.

This does look like a better deal. This mount extends up to 20" from wall, OP's only does 15". Though I don't see an option to tilt with this model, if that's important to you.

Thanks, grabbed this instead. Plus the wall mounting bracket looks a little nicer IMO

It does. Here is from the description:

180? Swivel, 360? Rotation, +-15? Tilt (question mark is degree sign)

Worked fine for me. Make sure you are not using spaces before or after. Also the code is listed on the page also and you can get it from there if not from my post. Also, it is likely limit 1 per account - so if you have already used it may not be possible to use a second time. If nothing works, contact Amazon CS and they should be able to help you.

Can anyone suggest a mount that actually extends downward?

I'm trying to mount a 50" above my fireplace and want to be able to bring it down a foot or so, when in use.

Buy one of these and mount it 90deg so the tv pivots in that plane. You'll probabaly need to get a secondary bracket to beef it up going vertical (since the other one would be horizontal). ......

Just a theory

This is the "#1 top seller" and only is 25$ with level and hdmi cable as well.

...15k customer reviews vs 75 on the other ones lol. either way, theyre all probabaly made in the same chinese factory

I had this one before. It worked well for smaller TVs I am not sure about larger than 32 inch. My 32 kept tilting down and didn't hold well without some adj. Having said that I would buy it again for my 32inch. No complaints on the HDMI cable. I didn't notice a diff from anything higher quality. Dont make the buy about that and the leveler though. Nothing special there.
