Soundbar for relatively small room

Hi. I've been trying to find decent soundbar+sub combos, but haven't found many worthy reviewers.

I do not own the TV yet either, but it will either but a Samsung UN55KS8000 or a Vizio P55-C1, so as long as the soundbar has an HDMI output I think I should be fine.

My room is pretty small, but I'd still like a soundbar combo $300 or less, since there'd be no way I could do something like a 5.1 surround sound setup, I'd have no room. It's just like I said above, I haven't seen many trustworthy reviews. Brand does not matter.

I originally was looking at the Vizio SB4051, but I really cannot have any wires exposed or wall mount anything, since it comes with two external speakers.

Can anyone help me out? Thanks a bunch.

I own this sound stand which is a sound bar + subwoofer in a compact form. I'm quite satisfied with it. Plus it has bluetooth.

That is so minimalistic it's crazy! (that's a good thing)

Still open to more suggestions though. I may want to try to stick with Sony/LG now though after doing some reading. Seem to have a lot of new technology packed into them vs something like the Vizio's I linked.

For a small room, the base type ones you can set a tv on top of are nice. Ultimately, I'd say try them out in store.

Consumer reports does review soundbars, but generally I find their consumer electronics reviews somewhat disappointing.

Why do conservative politicians oppose conservation?
Have you ever stopped to think the long-term GOP immigration policy might be to make the United States of America a less desirable place to live than Mexico?

Yeah, I guess that would be the best thing to do. Hopefully BB actually has some on display.

AVS Forums actually have a section dedicated to soundbars (although they mainly cover ones that cost $500) but there is still some good info there. I think there are a lot of people in the same situation as me, so I'll update my thoughts here in case.

LG makes some also, and my bestbuy had one on display, as well as the Sony one I showed you before. I agree you should check them out.
