Free Shipping
Open a Live Chat window. Tell them that the website Special Buy of the Day says Free shipping @ homedepot.com, when you click on it and it goes to the selections it says Free Shipping at the top, but when you purchase it charges you shipping/delivery. There is a banner on the product page that says delivery is free for $396 & up but everywhere else on the "Special Buy of the Day" contradicts that. They will credit back the delivery fee when you purchase.

Good find. I bought this one from Lowes back in July to replace a 4 year old Amana that was acting up.
Paid $242 thanks to SD. It is an excellent dishwasher. I used to think the manufacturers recommended detergent was a scam, but I have found that using the recommended Cascade packets works way better than gel.

Thing is they are all essentially the same under the Whirlpool family of brands with the break away perhaps being Kitchenaid. It boils down to features.

Lowes/Homedepot and many other appliance retailers had many brands 35%-40% off for about 3 weeks as "labor day" sales event Lots of items were near 50%.

Sorted reviews by recent, and saw too many negatives saying died after X months, up to 2 years. Pass.

No local pickup and no free shipping. Doesn't make this worth it. 248 + 51 deliver = same as in store price.

I've shopped for appliances and can afford higher end ones but I don't see any functional difference between "lower end" dishwashers and 'higher end" ones. Same goes for refrigerators. Can you explain?

There's several things that make the difference like the dba rating, plastic tub vs stainless steel. The higher end models will give you more features like delayed washing, rinse and hold, quick wash that most of these don't. If you catch the sales you can buy some very good ones for $500 - $600 that I would be very satisfied with.

With some models your also pay for them being ultra quiet. I really miss the Bosch we had. it ran just over 40dB and you'd have to stand next to it and listen to see if it was running.
