are you sure this is correct? It had always been available for "renewals only." I have renewed it over the past 3 years. It has not been available for "new" purchase, which is why you can't do it on-line and you only saw it listed at the ticket booth. i was just at Disneyland this weekend and it appeared to be the same case.

What type of proof of residency is required?

If I have a friend that lives in SoCal, is there anyway to use their address to get this?

They should really have a (Socal) pass day only in the week and cut down on the lines. Smilie

They usually ask for a driver's license, but I was able to use a SoCal school ID, since my license still had a NorCal address on it. Not sure what other forms of ID they accept though.

Since they used to allow people to purchase this online, I would assume bank statements, bills, etc that are mailed to an address would work as well.

This sounds like a good deal, but if you're planning to go at least twice a month, you're better off upgrading to the Signature Pass, as it includes Free Parking and most weekends.

Here's the breakdown:

Southern Calif Annual Pass: $459
Parking @ $18 x 2 = $36 a month x 12 (a year) = $432
$459 + $432 = $891

Signature Pass: $849 (Includes Free Parking and most weekends)

Now, of course, this is calculating only for one person. You can lower the parking significantly by cramming as people in one car as you can, and you also have to factor in the cost of the additional Annual Passes if you're planning to buy for the entire family.

Anyhoo, this is just a consideration Embarrassment

Yup, was just gonna say the same. $99 during 2000-2002 timeframe. Oh, annual parking bumped it up to $150 I think.

Crazy how much things change.

Why would anyone want to visit Disney more than once a year? Let alone about 24 times a year??

It's a good place to live if you are homeless.
